A smaller, but similar, event takes place each Friday at Anse La Raye. Residents call their event a fish fry, but there s often music by a local band, a lot of rum and beer drinking, and dancing in the streets. On Saturday nights, the small east-coast town of Dennery turns out for a comparable party.
Anse La Raye is a shady beach that s popular with village residents. Bring a picnic lunch and snorkeling equipment, because there are no facilities on the beach. The water is clear and ideal for snorkeling. The community throws a fish fry on Friday nights, and all visitors are welcome.
